        BOYD’S MARRIAGE INDEX
There are 533 typescript volumes of the Marriage Index compiled under
the direction of the late Percival Boyd. It covers England
only,1538-1837,the entries being taken from transcribed parish
registers. It is divided into counties in periods of 25 years. In no case
does the index cover an English county fully, some are better than
others.I was only interested in the Soden name in England up until
1650 as this was the first occurrence of the name in Ireland.
