From 8/11/1824 to 31/12/1829 he was Lieutenant with African and West Indian Regiment. He was married 9/3/1830 at Turks Islands,Bahamas to Martha Frances Lightbourn by Rev. W. H. Lindsay,Church of England. His wife was still alive on 1/1/1834 according to military records at Kew,PRO. They had 2 children ,Adele born and died 9/7/1831 And Mary Adele L—— Soden born on 19/8/1832. Adele died at Turks Island and Mary Adele was baptised there. He had Full pay abroad for 5 years and 2 months and had Full Pay at home 6 years.and 5 months.
